Sunday 21km Run, Getting Familiar, Heart Rate Monitor, Call from PMC Classmate, and A Light Bulb

Did another 21km run this Sunday and along the way I noticed that I maybe getting familiar already to the people around. Public transport drivers greeting me. Some people from the dredging works on the river smiles at me. Then runners along the way greets or gives a hand gesture to me. Even at the near end of the road for the first half of the run a tall thin guy started running on the beach dike and while I was walking and resting told me to come follow him with a smile and his pacing is slower so I did until I reached the end of the first half of the run. Same when I was on the last half of the run and dark, a runner I crossed paths and greeted me again. An old guy also that started running long distance now I see again and he upgraded with his hydration bladder backpack like mine. Upon crossing paths with him we smiled to each other.

I tried my best to maintain the long-slow-distance mode and to work my heart rate at the higher end of hear rate zone 1 for the older 3 zone heart rate model but this was fine on the first half of the run only. The second half I sped up and surprisingly I don’t feel an increase in effort on my heart but maybe I might be spiking between heart rate zone 1 and heart rate zone 2 which is not good for a long-slow-distance training. In this case, I might be needing a heart rate monitor to be get an accurate reading of my heart rate during the runs for a more quality long distance run training.

Had a call from my classmate in the private military contracting course. Good to see my friend and he lost weight as he been training hard these days. He attended another PMC course including special operations and combat drone course. He shared how they tried to outrun a drone but failed and how a shotgun is the best weapon out there for a drone. I told him that apart from a shotgun and a EMW Jammer, nets is as important as the former.

Some light bulb moments after the call. What if, I organize my PMC classmates since they also took other trainings from abroad and some with globally recognized license and certifications, and we offer a training? Basically becoming a tactical and security training provider? Not a bad idea.
