Was in thr gym today and while working out I was also reading the textbook on solid-state chemistry course from MIT-OCW.
I gave a particular focus on the chemical reaction to break down water into its hydrogen and oxygen components. I remember back in The local program on BSEE on the Chemistry for Engineer’s course laboratory and we did this exact experiment but there is tremenedous lack of insights that has to be derived from it.
I learned today that oxygen is corrosive specially in the water electrolysis so a right selction of the electrodes must be done in order for the electrode to survive corrision during electrolysis.
Also learned about the needed volts for the electrolysis but the distance or the electrode and the volume of the electrolyte solution will dictate the voltage needed.
Also revisited the atomic structure including the charge value for the electron and proton, and the law of conservation of mass together with the law of multiple proportions.
For the gym workouts I only did my chest with the dumbbells on bench press, chest flies, and inclined bench press.
After the gym weight training I went to the heavybag area and did pure striking. Almost got my left middle knucke skin peeled off after my knuckles hit the rough edge of the leather seam of the heavybag running verticlally. I only do bare knuckles on training as I never intended my martial arts for sports.
On the other hand, my knuckles became a little bit bigger because of the regular heavybag punching.
